POWER TRAIN

Power train components must hold up high impact loads and frequent changes of direction and movement. TGS takes into account all these demands using testing procedures that simulate real-world applications. Our goal is to provide TGS high-quality power train components that are durable and maximize the productivity of your machine.

BEVEL GEARS AND GEAR SETS

TGS gears are designed and engineered to the highest quality specifications for use in heavy duty equipment applications. TGS uses the latest manufacturing processes, such as 3D modeling to ensure our gears are manufactured to exact specifications. Quality control during forging, cutting, heat treating and final testing ensures our gears are interchangeable with the OE.

CARRIERS

Our carriers are produced from quality cast iron and tempered to remove any stresses due to processing. TGS carriers are packaged in chemically treated paper or nylon bags to prevent corrosion during extended storage under unfavorable conditions.

FINAL DRIVE & SWING COMPONENTS

Planetary drive gears must withstand the high forces of torque generated by the engine and transfer these loads to move the equipment. All TGS swing gears and final drive gears are manufactured to precise tolerances for reliable operation. The manufacturing method includes a heat treatment process that increases bending strength, prevents case crushing and provides exceptional wear resistance for a long service life.

TGS is pleased to introduce the new final drives for your mini excavators. This combination of a hydraulic motor and planetary gear box will give your machine the power it needs.

STATORS POWER TRAIN

Torque converters are an essential part of your automatic transmission. They not only allow your vehicle to come to a complete stop without stalling the engine, but also provide more torque when accelerating out of a stop, ultimately, giving you more control over your machine’s movements. Stators are located at the center of the torque converter. They redirect the fluid returning from the turbine before it hits the pump again, increasing the efficiency of the torque converter.

SPIDER UNIVERSAL JOINT

Also known as a universal coupling or cardan joint, is a mechanical device used to transmit rotary motion between two shafts that are not in a straight line with each other. It consists of a cross-shaped piece, called the spider or cross, with bearings at each end that connect to the shafts. The spider allows for flexibility in the transmission of rotational motion, accommodating misalignment between the shafts while transmitting torque effectively.

FLANGES

Flanges are connections used in fluid power systems. Code 61 flanges are referred to as standard. They are used for high pressure between 3000-5000 PSI depending on the size. Code 62 flanges are rated for 6000 psi for all sizes.

TORQUE CONVERTORS / IMPELLERS / STATORS

The power that is produced in the engine is multiplied in the torque converter and then transferred on to the transmission for use by the rest of the drive train components. TGS torque converters are a key component in doing so and in giving you more control over your machine’s movements.

TRANSMISSION SEAL RINGS

Our now improved TGS transmission seal rings feature a new material that makes them perfect for use in applications that demand strength and stability at temperatures above 300°F (150°C) in the toughest working conditions.
