TGS stocks a complete line of seals and gaskets for Caterpillar® and Komatsu® equipment assembled into kits at our facilities. Gaskets are produced from Interface materials; materials that are environmentally friendly, free of solvents and asbestos. TGS seals and gaskets are made with high technology tools to guarantee an exact dimension and a proper fit, reducing the risk of leakage and increasing operational life.

BEADED GASKETS

Because of its silicone special sealing, TGS beaded gaskets provide better sealing to the engine preventing leaking resulting in a more efficient engine. Beaded gaskets provide extra sealing to offer better pressure.

C SERIES GASKETS KITS

TGS gaskets are produced from solvent free, environmentally friendly and asbestos free materials. All soft paper materials are treated with an anti-stick coating on both sides to better protect the gasket and the machine itself. TGS gasket kits are assembled to provide all the required components needed to make your engine repairs in only one box.

HEAD GASKETS

TGS Cylinder Head Gaskets offer excellent durability and lasting sealing of your engine. TGS’s Graphite, composite and MLS (Multiple Layer Steel) head gaskets are designed and manufactured to provide protection against reduced torque loss and shearing loads. Special coatings, and elastomeric sealing beads are applied on most gaskets to ensure proper oil, water and coolant sealing.

METAL FACE SEALS

TGS Metal Face Seals provide positive protection for bearings and lubricants in abrasive, moderate speed applications. They permit the use of oil as a lubricant instead of grease. With oil, friction loss is reduced and service life is extended.
TGS metal face seals offer: Corrosion-resistant seal rings; minimum face load variations.

PRE-COMBUSTION CHAMBERS GASKETS

Pre-combustion chamber gaskets are seals used in diesel engines equipped with pre-combustion or indirect injection systems. In these engines, fuel is injected into a small chamber called a pre-combustion chamber or pre-chamber, which is separate from the main combustion chamber. The pre-combustion chamber gasket seals the junction between the pre-chamber and the cylinder head, preventing leakage of combustion gases and ensuring proper compression and combustion of the fuel-air mixture. These gaskets are designed to withstand high temperatures and pressures encountered during engine operation.

TGS O-ring seals are made with a special PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) coating that offers the following benefits:

- Color identification for same size O-rings made of different compounds.

All TGS O-ring kits come in special protective suitcases, containing the most popular ring sizes. Viton O-rings have higher temperature resistance than regular O-Rings.

U-CUP SEALS

The U-cup seals are made of Polyurethane, which ensures they have the exact flexibility for a greater efficiency and easy installation. Because of their design and composition, TGS hydraulic seals offer a better friction and adapt better to high temperatures, prolonging the life of the seal. At the same time they also offer a better sealant resistance to high pressures avoiding leaks and pollution.

SPACER PLATES

Engine block spacer plates were designed to reduce stresses on the liner flange, which could cause it to get cracked. The spacer plate is just a few thousands of an inch thinner than the liner flanges, this ensures the correct liner protrusion and guarantees proper head gasket sealing. A new spacer plate should always be used when overhauling your engine, or whenever the cylinder head is removed. It is an inexpensive assurance that your engine will be sealed properly.

TRANSMISSION SEAL RINGS

Our now improved TGS transmission seal rings feature a new material that makes them perfect for use in applications that demand strength and stability at temperatures above 300°F (150°C) in the toughest working conditions.

CRANKSHAFTS SEALS

The crankshaft seal is the primary barrier that keeps oil from leaking from the rear or front end of the crankshaft. Over time, crankshaft seals can dry out, break, or wear a groove into the crankshaft, allowing oil to leak. Some TGS crankshaft seals come with a steel wear sleeve which creates a new surface for the seal. Many new seals are PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) type. PTFE seals provide low friction sealing with minimal oil lubrication requirement.

TGS offers a large selection of N-8092 gasket material from interface solutions™ that fits a plethora of applications, and our sales experts are always happy to help on choosing the right material for gaskets from your first question to your last. Gaskets' and seals' primary functions are to compress and seal under high demand; compensating for mating surface irregularities at high temperatures and stresses. As a guard against gas or fluid flow, gaskets have to function at a level that meets the needs of heavy machinery as well have a wide variety of types to choose from.
